Sacristan

The ministry of the sacristan is to care for the tabernacle, sacristy, linens, albs, vessels, candles and general church area used in the worship services. This "behind the scenes" ministry includes changing out and cleaning the altar linens, ordering and caring for the candles used in the sanctuary, ordering the wine and hosts, cleaning all vessels used during the Masses, maintaining the sacristy, the credence table, the area around the tabernacle, and general cleanup of the foyer.

The sacristan assists volunteers to ensure that all materials are ready and available when needed for worship services.

The ministry is open to adults and youth of the parish. Much of the work is done on Saturday mornings in preparation for the weekend services.
