Msgr. Champoux is retiring:  At the recent Diocese of Yakima priests’ retreat, Bishop Joseph Tyson announced new clergy assignments.

Among the announcements was this one: Msgr. Thomas Champoux will be granted senior priest status, and Fr. Osmar Aquirre will become the pastor at Christ the King parish in Richland. This transition will occur on or about August 1, 2026.

We welcome Fr. Osmar! And we are reassured that our beloved Msgr. Champoux will remain in residence in Richland, helping out as needed. 

Fr. Juan Flores, Fr. Lalo Chavez, and Fr. Van (in residence) will remain at Christ the King.



Please keep Fr. Osmar, Fr. Juan, Fr. Lalo, our parish staff, and Msgr. Champoux in your prayers as we navigate this transition!

Get ready to explore the rainforest and the nature of GOD!

Registration is full; we do have a waiting list.  Registration forms can be found in the church foyer, the parish office, and here. All registration forms must be turned into the parish office only. Forms turned into CK school will not be accepted.

We still need adult and high school volunteers to help make VBS happen! We are also looking for volunteers to help with decor for VBS. Take-home art projects are available!
