Adult - Bible Study

"But you, remain faithful to what you have learned and believed, because you know from whom you learned it, and that from infancy you have known the sacred scriptures, which are capable of giving you wisdom for salvation through faith in Jesus Christ. All scripture is inspired by God and is useful for teaching, for refutation, for correction, and for training in righteousness, so that one who belongs to God may be competent, equipped for every good work" (Timothy 3:14-17).

Saint Jerome wrote: "Ignorance of Scriptures is ignorance of Christ." We invite you to join our 2010 Bible study classes. Please click on the link below for more details about the classes that will be offered.  All of these classes are held in the Youth Center. Child care is available during the morning classes. 2010 Bible Study Classes
will start in September

The following classes will begin in Fall 2010.

Blessed and Beloved: The third in a series of Bible studies based on Proverbs 31, this six week DVD course with discussion, offers tools to help you strengthen your marriage and raise your children, creating a civilization of love in your home. Applying Sacred Scripture, Church teaching, and pastoral wisdom, Kimberly Hahn helps you explore Marital intimacy, responsible parenthood, facing financial future without fear, strategies for disciplining and instructing children and trusting God when parenting hurts. Discussion questions help you apply the material to your own life.  This Bible study will take place on Tuesdays from 9-11AM from September 14-October 26. Text costs $15.

Voices in the Desert: On the books of Amos, Hosea and Micah on Mondays 7-9PM, September 27-December 6.

Praying the Liturgy of the Hours: Divine Office for DODOS (Devout, Obedient Disciples of Our Savior): Mondays, 6:30-8:30PM or Wednesdays 9-11AM, starting September 27

A Quick Journey through the Bible: Wednesdays, 9-11AM, September 22-November 17

Job: This story speaks eloquently of the mystery of human suffering. Listen to God's Word in the midst of pain. This eight week study is a Little Rock Video series. It will take place Tuesdays from 9-11AM  September 28-November 16. Text/study guide costs $15.

Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University: This is a 13-week program that encourages positive behavior with accountability and support. This course teaches fnancial responsibility wtih easy baby steps, helps eliminate debt using the Debt Snowball method, offers accountability and continued support with lifetime membership, trains participants to spend every dollar on paper with the zero-based budget planner and empowers people struggling wtih financial hardships by establishing a plan to take control of their finances. Starts Tuesday night, August 31 from 7-9PM. Cost of $100 includes all needed materials and lifetime membership.
